Club championship without chip timing

Hiring chip timing makes sense above a certain size. Below it sits what most clubs actually put on: the club race, the annual championship, the Wednesday evening loop.

The results view: the first three on a podium, everyone else in order behind them.

In three steps

  1. Create the race Type a name, add the entrants — a first name is enough, a group such as “Year 4” is optional. You get a six-character code.
  2. Code onto the second device Anyone who types that code is in the same race. One device takes the start, one the finish.
  3. Start and stop One press for the whole field at the start, one tap per arrival at the finish. The time appears on both devices at once.

Who this is for

Clubs that time things for the fun of it. A field of eight to eighty, two helpers, no budget. It is deliberately not competition software: no entry portal, no fee handling, no licence management.

Nothing about it is tied to one sport. Bike, run, ski, rowing machine, soapbox — anything with a start and a finish can be timed.

Scoring by group

Every entrant can carry a group — “Juniors”, “Women”, “E-bike”, “Over 50”. The results then show a podium per group and one overall, and the CSV carries both rankings.

Put a third screen in the clubhouse if you like: the same address shows the results live while people are still racing.

What it costs, and what happens after

Nothing. No account, no sign-up, no adverts, no payment details. There is no paid tier waiting further down.

After 60 days the server deletes the race and the names with it. The results are then yours alone — as the CSV you downloaded beforehand.
